Solidarity Week is an interdepartmental event hosted by the People of Colour and Indigenous departments. A range of autonomous and non-autonomous events will be held throughout Week 6 with the aim of combating racism on a campus situated on stolen Indigenous land and exploring the importance of solidarity.

Monday: 
10:30am Welcome to country  in North Court (Non-autonomous)
12pm Billibellary’s Walk starting at at Murrup Barak (Non-autonomous)

Tuesday:
1-2 pm, Environment Department Solidarity Week Reading Group in Graham Cornish A, Level 2, Union House (Non-autonomous)
6:00pm PoC and Indigenous departments film screening in the Interactive Cinema Space, Level 3, Arts West (Non-autonomous)

Wednesday: 
1-3pm Women’s/ NB People weaving workshop in Training Room 1, Level 3, Union House (Autonomous to PoC and Indigenous identifying Women/NB People)
1-3pm Men’s/NB People HSP Lunch Collective in Training Room 2, Level 3, Union House (Autonomous to PoC and Indigenous identifying Men/NB People)
3:15-4:15pm Dr Yassir Morsi’s talk, titled ‘The Politics of Race on Campus’ in Room 256, Level 2, Arts West (Non-autonomous event)

Thursday:
1-2pm BBQ in Deakin Court with Halal, sustainable Vegan and Meat options all available (Autonomous to PoC and Indigenous identifying people)
4-5pm Sita Jhaveri’s facilitated discussion, titled ‘Misogyny in non-white spaces’ in Graham Cornish A, Level 2, Union House (Autonomous to PoC and Indigenous identifying people)

Friday: 
2-3 pm  ‘The Importance of practicing Indigenous language and religion: a talk by Ron Briggs and Richard Frankland in the Forum Theatre, Level 1, Arts West (Non-autonomous)
