- Fine Arts and Music Orientation Camp, 15-17th February
Organised and run by UMSU affiliated club, the Production Society.
What’s that? A camp, before even Orientation starts? Yep that’s it, get a kick start on the year by coming along to this weekend of fun, new friends, workshops and of course a big ol’ party. Sign up here!
- Summerfest 2019: Southbank Carnival Day, Tuesday 19th February, 10am-3pm
Isn’t UMSU based out of Parkville? Not for long! UMSU Southbank and our pals from other departments will be getting together to throw together an unforgettable day of activities. Expect: outdoor games, indoor games, UMSU stalls, Club stalls, free food, live music, speed friending and perhaps even a beach party.

You do NOT want to miss this! Watch students reach for the stars with original outfits, performances, and heck a lot of glitter. Open bar and canapes prior to the performance. Applications and ticket sale information to come!
- Queer Students Collective, Tuesdays 12-2pm, Weeks 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11
UMSU Queer will be running biweekly autonomous collective meet-ups for LGBTIQ+ identifying students. Come along for a free bite and to meet and mingle with fellow queer students from your faculty.
- People of Colour Collective, Thursdays 1-2pm, Weeks 6 and 10
UMSU People of Colour will be running two collective meet-ups on campus this semester. Students of colour are invited to come along to share in some free food and great company. More details to come!
- Women’s Collective, Thursdays 12-1pm, Weeks 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12
Sorry men, this one’s not for you! The UMSU Women’s department is coming to Southbank. Ever feel the need for a quiet, safe space along other women/trans women/non-binary friends? The women’s collective will be run out of the UMSU space, Hub building, level 2. Come along for a free bite, a chat, or perhaps just some down time with some good feminist literature.
