1 Comment on BIOM30002 Biomedicine: Molecule to Malady
Really interesting subject that requires intense amount of effort. 6 topics (maladies) that are being taught by experts/doctors of that field. (Namely: Pandemics (HIV and Malaria), Muscular Dystrophy, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Cystic Fibrosis, B cells, Neurodegeneration) Consists of 2 MCQ MSTs worth 20% each and a final exam with MCQ and short answer questions. The MCQ MSTs were pretty basic. Most of the people will get a H1 (50% in 2016 and 2017). Final exam was tough and as the coordinator said, most students will have a 10% drop in marks if they don't put in enough effort or have the wrong study method. You can choose to answer 4 topics out of 6 but my advice is to study all of them because the difficulty of the questions for each topic differs.
