This subject is pretty good. There's one lecture each week which focuses generally on aspects of translation theory and the professional world of translation. Some of this content is dry and in some instances it's hard to see the relevance for practical applications. The tutorials, however, are really good - each week you practice translating different texts (literature, poetry, articles, advertisements and more) with the idea of applying the theory from lectures. Assessment is made up of three in-class tests and a final project where you choose a text to translate into English - all are generally pretty manageable. Overall, this subject is a good way to learn new idiomatic expressions, vocab and other aspects of French language that you might not have thought about!

This is an actually ok subject. The lectures are literally useless but overall the subject is pretty easy as long as you have a good comprehension of French as it is basically just reading things in French and re-writing them in English. It helps if you are half-decent at writing in English but by no means necessary. I found it very easy to get a good mark in this subject with little effort.
