This week, we bring you surrealist auteur Luis Bunel’s 1962 masterpiece El ángel exterminador (The exterminating angel).
The film tells the story of a group of wealthy guests who find themselves unable to leave after a lavish dinner party, and the chaos that ensues. Full of eerie comic absurdity, the film continues Buñuel’s wicked takedown of the rituals and dependencies of the frivolous upper classes.
