Adapting Ibsen

Part of UHT’s Nora Creative Development Program

Begin to explore the principles of theatrical adaptation with the Nora creative team.

UHT invites you to join the creative development of Nora: A Doll’s House by playwright Steph Smith – an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic A Doll’s House.

In the workshop, we’ll explore how to take material from an existing text and re-write or re-shape this to create a starting point for your own projects or ideas. You will develop the beginnings of your own new work: a character, scene, physical performance, or monologue (for example) which responds to the themes in Nora: A Doll’s House.

A perfect opportunity for people wanting to learn more about how to adapt texts, plays or novels and a great experience for anyone who is keen to begin generating a new creative project.

No prior experience is required.
