You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown

Presented by University of Melbourne Music Theatre Association (UMMTA)

Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in Clark Gesner’s classic musical. The whole gang’s here! Bossy Lucy (Adeline Hunter) is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder (Melanie Verhagen) who doesn’t give her the time of day. Perfectionist Sally (Hayley Edwards) is still mocking blanket-toting Linus (Peter Lejins). Snoopy (Guy Webster) is in the doghouse, and “blockhead” himself, Charlie Brown (John Sharp), is in rare form.
Join the gang on vignettes spanning the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair. Experience the sweet and joyful innocence of the Peanuts gang we all know and love, but with a fresh splash of insouciance and playfulness.
Whether you’re keen to fly with the Red Baron, moon over the Moonlight Sonata, or just do your best to find “Happiness” – “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” is the classic for you.
