Every week MUMS invites a speaker, usually a lecturer, to give a talk about some interesting mathematics, usually about some aspect of their research.

The talks are aimed so that first year maths undergrads can understand them, but should be interesting to other maths students, too. Look at the abstract on the posters around the maths building to get an idea of what the week’s talk will be about.

Afterwards, there are free snacks in the MUMS room.
