Bursting out of the Brisbane burbs with a raw and unhinged brand of alt-rock,  WAAX kicked down the music industry door with 2018’s “Labrador” and follow up “FU”, leaving blood, sweat, tears and a mass of entangled bodies behind.
Now after years spent winning hearts and minds with their music and selling out show after show across the country, WAAX are ready to stake their claim with debut album “Big Grief”, starting with the North Court stage!

Led by the combustible force Marie DeVita and armed with monstrous  lead single “I Am”,  WAAX will make Tuesday 6 August, a tunesday to remember at UMSU, as they tear through a set of raw, emotional and empowering bangers.

The first stop on a national single tour that will see WAAX play numerous sold-out shows (including a two night stand at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel), this promises to be an absolute all-timer.

Pre-game by spinning “FU” here: and check out the video for “I Am” below and prepare yourself  to yell “I forgot the person that I am” back in DeVita’s face.

As always your mates  UMSU Activities will be there serving up delicious lunch options including BBQ and veggie burgers.
