International Women’s Day is fast approaching and to celebrate, Banking on Women (BoW), Womendeavour and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) have joined together to host a Coffee and Cake on Thursday March 11th in Argyle Square.
If you are able, we are also collecting gold coin donations, with all proceeds being given to Victorian Women’s Trust.
International Women’s Day celebrates the achievements of women throughout the decades, but also calls to action the acceleration of gender parity and the importance of continuing the movement toward greater equality. Over the last decade, there has been a movement toward lessening this gap, but there is still more to be done. The International Women’s Day 2021 campaign theme is #Choosetochallenge. A Challenged world is an alert world. How will you challenge inequality and gender bias to create an inclusive world?
Date: Tuesday 11 March
Time: 11am – 1pm
Location: Argyle Square
We encourage all students, regardless of gender, to come support this worthy cause. We look forward to seeing you there!
