Advocacy & Legal

The Advocacy and Legal Division in UMSU provides independent advice and support on a range of matters to all current students of the University. We are two separate services co-located in the one division.

The Legal Service is a small Community Legal Centre which provides legal advice, information, and referral to currently enrolled students on a range of legal matters.

The Advocacy Service provides independent advice, assistance and referral on a range of academic and administrative issues within the University.

From time to time, casual roles become available which suit student casual staff. Such duties include administrative tasks and data entry, support for volunteer programs, and generally assisting both services with day-to-day tasks.
