VCE SUMMER SCHOOL

A not-for-profit head start program for VCE students, held each year at the University of Melbourne since 1971.

What is the VCE Summer School?

VCE Summer School (VCESS) is a two-week tutoring program that takes place in January and aims to help VCE students from a range of backgrounds gain a head start on their final years of secondary education. The program has a particular focus on creating a healthy study-life balance, and providing tutoring on the widest range of subjects. In fact, we have tutors for each and every VCE subject you’re taking, no matter how small the subject may be. Head here to view a PDF version of our 2020 Program Brochure.

When and where will the 2021 Program take place?

VCESS 2020 is currently planned to take place from January 11th – 22nd at the University of Melbourne’s Parkville campus. The program runs Monday to Friday in each week.

How much does it cost to attend the program?

In 2019, the entire two-week cost $219, which included all classes across all your VCE subjects, subject materials, activities, workshops, 1-on1 tutoring, a T-Shirt and even a couple of BBQ lunches! Pricing for the 2021 program will be announced later in the year.

What if I’m a rural or regional-based student?

For students who didn’t live in Melbourne, we offer our well-regarded Residential Program, held at St Hilda’s College. Students receive accommodation, meals and evening activities Sunday-Friday each week of the program. Residential Program pricing will be announced when applications open.
