About the Role

The Theatre Assistant (UHT) role is a casual role to support the operations of the Union House Theatre team, primarily working in the Union House Theatre and Guild Theatre's. Successful applicants will work across a variety of duties, including front of house, general event duties, and bar service.

The successful applicant will also work closley with UHT's volunteer team in the following areas:

  • Front of House Support: Assist patrons and manage volunteer ushers during performances.
  • Bar and Event Coordination: Oversee bar setup, adhere to licensing requirements and provide quality customer service and manage payments.
  • Technical and Event Assistance: Aid in event setup, equipment operation, and paperwork as well as collaborate with teams for seamless event execution.
