This event is held for International Vietnamese Students at the University of Melbourne to have a Welcome Party before the new semester starts. The event is a place for returning and new members have time to connect, share and make friends in the same community. We will play some music and hold some music game shows. We also prepare food and drinks (non-alcohol) for students to have a small snack. The event is completely free and voluntarily.

Come and join us soon, Friday – 13th of March 2020!

An opportunity to meet our new members, say hi to our returning members and allow members to interact with the VSA family, this is our way of giving back to the VSA community.

There will also be another chance to sign up for membership with VSA!

Sexologist Elisa Caro will be leading us in her workshop, The Female Orgasm. This workshop is designed to explore the pleasure of people with vulvas, but is open to all! It will be an engaging and informative start to our new year x

So come and be welcomed to Sexpression 2020 with this FREE event. We will provide pre-workshop mingling and refreshments – enjoy!

We acknowledge that this event is held on the land of the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri tribes of the Kulin Nations, and that sovereignty for this land was never ceded. We’d like to pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We’d also like acknowledge that sexism has disproportionately affected Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and non binary people, and that they should always be at the forefront of our feminist activism.

Kick off your semester the right way by coming along to CLAWS’s first ever collaborative creative writing workshop for 2020! This is the perfect chance to see what people have been working on over the summer and discuss writing ideas for the semester ahead. Naturally, writing on an empty stomach is a difficult task so we will be providing FREE PIZZA to fuel your creative fire.

We’ll also be doing membership sign-ups for the low low fee of $5, which will give you access to an entire year of our awesome events! And we’ll have copies of our Inkspot zine there too, including our latest edition, “New Beginnings”!

So come on down to Graham Cornish A on the second floor of Union House for creative writing, free food and new friends!

Come visit the Women’s Department stall this Summerfest! We’ve got lots of goodies to give away and come have a chat with us about what the Women’s Department can do for you! We’ve got:

  • Our annual tote bags with inclusions (2020 brochure, 2019 edition of Judy’s Punch)
  • DIY bath bombs to give away!

Sign our ‘Consent is Sexy’ pledge too and help us make this campus safer for everyone on it.

The Women’s Department acknowledge that the Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations are the traditional custodians of the land upon which we will be holding this event. We acknowledge that this land was stolen and sovereignty has never been ceded. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
