CISSA GameJam! - Game Dev Hackathon

Are you a gamer?  Perhaps you always wanted to try out making your own games, but never found the right opportunity to do so? CISSA's GameJam is a short, casual hackathon over the weekend of O-week where you will have the opportunity to learn about game development and compete against other aspiring game developers for attractive prizes! 
With workshops conducted by our education team, and free food provided throughout, we guarantee you will have a blast!

 FAQS 
1. Who can attend?
GameJam is open to all, but only University of Melbourne students, or teams with at least
one University of Melbourne student are eligible for prizes.

2. What is the team size?
Teams of up to 3 are allowed.

3. What software will I be using?
You are free to use any software, but for simplicity, we will be using GameMaker for the introduction to game development workshop on the 17th of February.

4. I'm a complete beginner, should I participate?
Absolutely! This GameJam is an excellent opportunity to get started in game development, and we even have an introductory workshop to guide you through the process of creating your first game!

5. Will food be provided?
Yes, food and refreshments will be provided throughout the hackathon.

6. How do I submit my project?
Submissions will be done through Devpost, with your code being shared through GitHub (make sure your repository is public). You and your team will also be invited to demonstrate your game in a short presentation at the end of the competition.

7. When is the Intro to Game Development workshop?
The workshop will be held on the 17th of February, 2pm-4pm, at Alan Gilbert G20.
