IPEP HSN Skills Workshop Night

Open to all post-graduate Healthcare students!
 

 IPEP HSN is kickstarting their annual Skills Workshop for Semester 1!

 Come along to learn a skill from each Health discipline and meet some new friends within the healthcare space!

 We promise that it will be a LOAD of FUN!

5:30pm - 6:45pm 

 Have you ever wondered what the inside of your eye looks like? For the first time in IPEP-HSN history, the Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences is opening up their preclinical space to allow you to tour around, interact with the equipment and see EXACTLY what an Optometrist can see through their high-tech equipment... the inside of a person's eye!

(BIO/gonioscopy/fundus to be performed - search them up!)

This is a very RARE opportunity for other Healthcare students to find out what their fellow colleagues in the healthcare space can do in a clinical setting!

6:45pm - 8:45pm 

 Different stations will be set up for students to rotate around:

 Medicine: will teach you how to SUTURE

 Nursing: will teach you how to do WOUND CARE

 Physiotherapy: will teach you how to do TAPING

 Dentistry: will teach you how to interpret DENTAL X-RAYS

 Optometry: will teach you how to do RETINOSCOPY

 Audiology: tbc

Food and drinks will be provided on the night :)

Entrance fee: $3.
