University Network for Investing and Trading (UNIT)


The University Network for Investing and Trading (UNIT) will be holding a Special General Meeting (SGM) on Wednesday 26th March to amend the Constitution.

 

All UNIT members are eligible to vote on the amendment at the SGM. 

Current Clause 5)

The Executive Committee shall have the following members, all of whom shall be students of the University of Melbourne: 

  1. Either one President or two Co-Presidents, the latter of which will occur only when there is an equal number of votes for the President position followed by a unanimous vote agreeing to two Co-Presidents; 
  2. Four Vice Presidents  
  3. The Secretary/Treasurer 

Proposed Clause 5)

Secretary and Treasurer Election:

All UNIT members are eligible to vote at the SGM. Voting will done via an anonymous ballot, with the result announced immediately following counting the votes.

The positions up for election are Secretary and Treasurer.

Current Secretary Nominees: Samuel Mirvis

Current Treasurer Nominees: George Kaltzidis

Candidates will have the opportunity to nominate themselves and make a 2 minute speech before the election for a position takes place.
