GDSC 2024 AGM

Google Developer Student Club has invited you to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM). At the AGM you will have your chance to run for a position on the club committee, vote for next year’s committee, ask questions of the current committee to see what they’ve been up to and give suggestions for things the club can do in the future.

The agenda with all the activities that are occurring can be found attached along with the constitution which lists all the committee positions available.

We will also be voting on constitutional changes which can be found attached in this email.

AGM details:

Date: 20th September 2024 (Friday) at 5:30 - 7pm

Location: PAR-104-L1-124-Flexible Learning Space (30)

Committee Elections:

If the constitution amendment applies, positions opening up for elections are:

• President
• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Education Director
• General Committees (3x): Technology Director, Events Director, Marketing Director

Eligibility:

Any current University of Melbourne student who is a club member for 2024 (i.e. has signed up via the UMSU page) is eligible to run for any position.

Election procedure:

You can nominate yourself for a position prior to the AGM by filling out the Nomination Form before the AGM. 

Please note that additional nominations will be accepted during the AGM (a member can also nominate another person to run for a position), and you can change the positions that you have nominated yourself for as well.

You can nominate for as many positions as you would like, but you can only be elected to one!

At the AGM, you will be given the opportunity to make a one-minute speech about why you're running for the position and what you will bring to GDSC.
