The first day of uni was a warm one and it was on this day that I threw Alana off her game, after her trip on the number 6 tram up Swanston St. Heading off to the first class of her Bachelor of Science, she chose Missy Higgins to start off her morning, with her new record The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle. Struggling to pick a favourite, Alana ended up going with ‘Unahsamed Desire’ as the soundtrack to her morning. Kings of Convenience grooved and crooned their way into her playlist with the track ‘I Don’t Know What I Can Save You From’, and Frank Ocean’s ‘Super Rich Kids’ is also essential listening in Alana’s books. Miike Snow’s synth-pop number ‘The Wave’ had a strong place in this month’s Tram Tracks but the real hero of Alana’s playlist, once again, came in the form of Tame Impala. Lonerism seems to be trendy stuff at the moment and she couldn’t help but pick ‘Feels Like We Only Go Backwards’ to round out her Tram Tracks.
Alana’s Tram Tracks
Missy Higgins: Unashamed Desire
Kings of Convenience: I don’t Know What I Can Save You From
Frank Ocean: Super Rich Kids
Miike Snow: The Wave
Tame Impala: Feels Like We Only Go Backwards
