Edition 3 Prompt – Tell A Tale Through A Timeline
Self Esteem
by Eliza Shallard
In Summer flowers grew at her feet
She felt her own beauty begin to deplete
“Half the girls at this school are dieting mum it’s totally normal.”
By Autumn she was draining life by the day
Her leaves started falling and she withered away
“She’s lost so much weight! She works out all the time.”
By Winter her limbs were nothing but bone
Weak and unable to go on alone
“She just fainted! I know I’m like, worried about her.
She’s starting to look sick?”
In Spring the flowers grew like before
But this time they helped her beauty restore
