by Torsten Strokirch

This project constitutes music videos for three love songs made over the past year, ‘Driving Home’, ‘New Years’ and ‘Last Sunlight’.

Torsten began writing songs early last year as a bit of a lockdown hobby, but then discovered he quite liked the whole process, and hasn’t stopped since. Like a runaway fruit wagon, he crashes his way through the various market stalls of composition, lyric writing, and garage band editing.

These three songs pay homage to the wondrous being that is Merryn Hughes, who happens to be both the Mudfest General Manager, and Torsten’s true love.

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri and Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin Nations as the Traditional Owners of the land upon which we live, work, and learn. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
