The Punjabi Student Association is a vibrant student-led community that celebrates and shares the richness of Punjabi culture, traditions, and values. Our purpose is to create an inclusive space where students of Punjabi heritage, as well as those interested in learning about Punjabi culture, can connect and build lifelong friendships. Through cultural events, social gatherings, dance and music showcases, food stalls, and festival celebrations, we bring the spirit of Punjab to campus life. The association also aims to encourage leadership, promote cultural pride, and foster cross-cultural understanding, while supporting student wellbeing and community engagement.

Club Aims:

  • To provide opportunities for the University of Melbourne community to experience and engage with Punjabi culture, including vibrant folk dances like Bhangra.
  • To foster inclusion and friendship among students interested in Punjabi language, heritage, and the celebration of a vibrant range of Punjabi festivals.
  • To organize cultural, educational, and social events that highlight Punjabi traditions and promote the value of community well-being.
  • To support Punjabi students with resources and connections that enhance their university experience and sense of belonging.
