This is a club that is currently seeking affiliation. If the club's affiliation is not finalised, any memberships purchased through the UMSU website will be refunded.

Sabaidee! 🇱🇦 We are the Lao Student Association (LSA), a welcoming space where Lao and non-Lao students to explore the uniqueness of Laos 🌏✨. As part of the diverse University of Melbourne community, we aim to:

  • Promote and celebrate Lao culture, traditions, and perspectives with non-Lao students 🇱🇦✨
  • Create supportive environment 🤝💛 where Lao students can meet, interact, and feel confident participating in university life 🎓
  • Promote collaboration 🤝🌐 with other student clubs and connect with Lao student communities across universities through joint initiatives 🎉

Club Aims:

  • To contribute to the diversity of the university community by sharing and celebrating Lao culture, traditions, and perspectives to non-Lao students.
  • To create a supportive and inclusive environment where Lao students can meet, interact, and feel comfortable participating in university life.
  • To encourage Lao students to build strong relationships with one another through peer support, shared experiences, and opportunities for academic and personal development.
  • To promote collaboration with other student clubs and engage with Lao student communities at other universities through joint events and initiatives.
