Banking on Women

BoW is dedicated to championing gender diversity in the financial and professional services industries. We empower, educate and encourage members of all genders through our events/initiatives.

 

Banking on Women is geared specifically towards female students who are interested in learning more about or pursuing a career in the financial services industry. By bringing together young women and industry professionals, we hope to empower female students with industry-specific knowledge and interactions with female role models.

Banking on Women also aims to make its members more competitive candidates when it comes to intern and graduate recruitment through interactive and informative events, while creating a strong network of like-minded women.

Club Aims:

  1. To empower women interested in financial services through continuing education and professional development.
  2. To provide insights into financial services and a common meeting ground for women interested in this career pathway.
  3. To encourage the entry and advancement of women in financial services in order to improve female representation within this profession.
  4. To cultivate future female leaders by facilitating intellectual discussion around finance.
  5. To create and enhance awareness of women’s contribution to the financial services.

Events
Leading the Way: Women in Corporate and Governance
2nd May 7pm - 9pm
Copland Theatre
This event aims to introduce students to corporate and government careers by bringing in panellists from different sectors, allowing students to network and gain insight into career opportunities.
