Creative Literature and Writing Society

We are a carefree, creative club that enjoys all things reading and writing. Join us weekly for discussions, writing exercises, feedback, and of course, fun!

 

A club all about writing, reading, discussing, and performing creative works. Ultimately it’s a club about story-telling, self-expression, socialising, and of course, fun!

Club Aims

  1. To provide an inclusive environment and a place to create, collaborate, and experiment with new writing endeavours.
  2. To offer the opportunity of free expression for all written word creatives at the University of Melbourne.
  3. To help students master the written word and nurture their talent and passion for creative writing.
  4. To discuss the works of writers from every field of creative writing such as songwriting, screenwriting, novels, playwriting, short stories, poems, memoirs, personal essays and more.
  5. To teach emerging writers the attributes and life skills that can improve their work ethic and have a healthier approach to creative writing in terms of discipline and self-care.
