Mandarin Language Club

Hi, everyone, welcome to Mandarin Language Club! In MLC, we provide free Mandarin lessons and organize various culture-related activities and events. Come and join us!!!

 

The Mandarin Language Club (MLC) is a club aimed to be the essential learning platform for all students who wish to learn Chinese(Mandarin). Our weekly Chinese lessons are free of charge, and not restricted to just UniMelb students, so bring all your friends and come chill with us.

We will provide as much language practice as possible, and stream the classes into beginner and intermediate level so everyone can perfect their skills. In addition to the weekly lessons we will be running other fun activities to help you learn Chinese (or not), so find our Facebook group for more information and become a member today.

Club Aims:

  • Mandarin Language Instruction: To teach Mandarin, the official language of China, in both its written and spoken forms.
  • Cultural Exchange: To create a social network between Chinese people and locals, fostering mutual understanding and friendships.
  • Historical Insight: To provide insight into the history and evolution of Chinese characters.
  • Practice and Fluency: To offer opportunities for practising Mandarin communication, helping members achieve fluency.
  • Inclusive Learning Environment: To create a welcoming and inclusive Chinese learning environment for individuals of all ages, occupations, and cultural backgrounds.
