Mechanical Engineering Student Society

MESS empowers ambitious Mechanical and Mechatronic engineering students to explore their passion for engineering, gain technical and employability skills, create connections, and make lifelong friends

Who are we?

MESS is a student-led Mechanical Engineering club dedicated to connecting students with an interest in Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering with professors and connections, promoting an open and supportive community that highlights career development within the industry. Our club aims to support students throughout their degree by providing opportunities to get involved beyond their coursework and engage with the engineering community.

Club Aims:

  1. To provide opportunities for earlier year mechanical engineering students to get involved with final year projects.
  2. To encourage closer interaction and feedback between staff and students within the Mechanical Engineering Faculty.
  3. To facilitate mechanical engineering industry interaction and networking opportunities.
  4. To provide free/affordable lunches and drinks that are timetabled around mechanical engineering lectures and classes.
  5. All the above are aimed at creating a more unified environment for mechanical engineering in order to provide support amongst students.
