Speech Pathology Students' Society

We represent the collective needs/wants of MoSP students. We aim to unite both years enrolled in the course by providing mentoring, networking, social and educational opportunities to students.

 

The Speech Pathology Students’ Society (SPSS) represents the collective needs and wants of the Master of Speech Pathology students at The University of Melbourne. We aim to unite the two year levels enrolled in the course by providing mentoring, networking, social and educational opportunities to students.

SPSS organise year round social and wellbeing events, networking opportunities and educational support. We aim to provide students with strategies to enhance their studies and social networks. SPSS also ensures members are provided with opportunities to get involved with other societies and professional bodies.

Aims:

  1. To act as a representative group of speech pathology students within the Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology (the Department) at The University of Melbourne and as such to act as a liaison between staff, alumni, prospective students or those interested in speech pathology and students in the Department for relevant matters.
  2. To act as a provider of information to speech pathology students at The University of Melbourne regarding clinical placements, future employment and further studies in collaboration with the Department at The University of Melbourne.
  3. To provide assistance and support to Speech Pathology students at The University of Melbourne.
  4. To promote a sense of community, well-being and collaboration across cohorts in the Master of Speech Pathology at The University of Melbourne.
