In the spirit of TED's philosophy of ôideas worth spreadingö, we hold TEDx events with inspiring speakers- an ideal platform to spread your ideas.

TEDxUniMelb is an independently organized club run by students at the University of Melbourne and affiliated to the not-for-profit organisation, TED. In the spirit of TED’s philosophy of “ideas worth spreading”, we believe in the power of innovative ideas to have a profound and positive influence on society. We hold regular TEDx events on campus. Inspiring speakers are invited to share and discuss their fields of expertise and brilliant ideas with students, which makes our events amongst the most popular and productive on campus. We also provide an ideal platform for students to spread their own ideas to the wider community, and to speak publically to share their ideas.

Club Aims:

  1. To introduce the TEDx experience to Melbourne University Students and make available access to the pool of great ideas.
  2. To assist the University of Melbourne‘s identity as an innovative, top-class University, worldwide.
  3. To spread brilliant ideas and keep all students updated, critical and insightful.
  4. To give University Staff and Students an opportunity to express and exchange their good ideas.
