A space like home away from home for Thai students in Melbourne, welcoming all to explore Thai culture.

Thai Student Association (TSA): A Home Away from Home for Thai Students in Melbourne

Established in 1992, the Thai Student Association (TSA) initially served as a community for Thai students at the University of Melbourne. Today, our mission has evolved to promote inclusivity and offer support to both undergraduate and graduate students across various universities in Melbourne, including RMIT, Swinburne, Monash, and others.

We strive to create meaningful connections through a variety of activities, from study sessions and excursions to night markets, movie nights, board games, and picnics. Our community designed these events to help Thai students connect, make new friends and feel like home in Melbourne. Moreover, we welcome the broader student community to immerse themselves into Thai culture; through entertainment, movies, music, and more, fostering a rich environment for cultural exchange. We are dedicated to host events that not only unite Thai students but also create a sense of belonging to the community.

Club Aims:

  • To create a welcoming and inclusive community for Thai students from universities across Melbourne, providing a strong support and fostering a sense of belonging.
  • To provide opportunities for Thai students to collaborate, network, and build lasting friendships across different universities.
  • To support Thai students in navigating life in Melbourne by offering resources, peer support, and shared experiences.
  • To promote and celebrate Thai culture through engaging activities that bring Thai and non-Thai students together.
