A friendly network of nature-nerds passionate about wildlife conservation & creating a more sustainable future. We run regular volunteering events, plus a heap of fun social events!

Our overall club goal is to work towards wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability, primarily by engaging members in volunteering experiences. We aim to foster connections between people and wildlife through awareness, understanding and practical action. WCS runs all sorts of events, from animal surveys & beach cleans to picnics & pub trivia nights! No need to be studying conservation or environmental science - anyone and everyone is welcome.

The best place to follow us is on Facebook. Once you're a member, make sure to join the private group too: 2024 Wildlife Conservation Society (UniMelb).

Specifically, our club aims are to:

  1. Encourage efforts towards wildlife conservation and environmental sustainability through awareness of current issues.
  2. Educate students about animal diversity and behaviour.
  3. Provide a space for open discussion for animal/wildlife conservation-related topics.
  4. Provide students with information relating to animal/wildlife conservation studies and careers.
  5. Encourage volunteer opportunities with wildlife conservation and environmental organisations.
