Are you interested in meeting new people, learning new skills, building your resume, and giving back to your community? Join us and be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Youth Charity Society (YCS) is a student-led volunteering club enthusiastic about reaching out to isolated individuals in our community, with efforts to encourage more young adults to volunteer. We aim to create a comfortable and welcoming space for youths to share experiences and skills acquired through volunteering with us. This year, we are ready to bring even more fun and meaningful volunteering events back on campus and we can't wait to see you there!

If you're looking to gain leadership experience, build your resume, and make a difference in the world, our volunteering club is for you. We offer a supportive and collaborative environment where you can develop your skills while giving back to your community. Some opportunities that we offer include working with large not-for-profit organisations such as SecondBite and Sacred Heart Mission. We also engage in fundraising, with bake sales being conducted on campus to raise funds for notable organisations such as  Cancer Council Victoria and RMCC. However, this is just the beginning of what Youth Charity Society offers!

Volunteering hours are recorded and certificates of appreciation are presented at the end of the year.

What's more? At YCS, we're more than just colleagues or members - we're a family. We host regular fun member bonding events to foster a sense of camaraderie and togetherness among our community. Join us for movie nights, picnics, group study sessions (with bubble tea!) and other activities that will help you get to know your fellow members.

So don’t hesitate, join us to gain valuable experience and opportunities to engage with the community around us!

Club Aims:

  1. To provide a space for compassionate students and volunteers to unite together, socialise and share experiences.
  2. To organise events to stimulate fellow students to volunteer or participate in community work, and also organise fundraiser events.
  3. Link students to Charities: to cooperate with various volunteering and charitable programs to introduce students to wide variety of community services. Students will not be limited to a single organisation but will have a variety of opportunities to choose from.
