Speak German, learning German, are German, or just went to Berlin and found yourself? Well, The German club is for you. All lovers of German language and culture are welcome.

 

We stand as an inclusive space for anyone to engage with the German language and culture. No matter who you are, where you come from, and whether you can speak any German, we invite you to join us as we explore film, food, literature, language, and all else German. Through film nights, conversation catch-ups, book clubs, food experiences, and myriad more exciting activities.

Ultimately, the German Club is for everyone, and we look forward to welcoming you into a diverse and exciting club.

Club Aims:

  1. To create an open, safe space in which students can practice and develop their German language skills, no matter what level or background.
  2. To bring together students who share an interest and/or have a connection to the German language and culture, who otherwise would not engage with each other at the University.
  3. To host events and experiences for all students at the University of Melbourne which portray the plethora of interesting aspects of the German language and culture.
  4. To be a point of contact for students who are studying or are interested in studying the German language at University of Melbourne.
  5. To be a site of knowledge transfer, for all students interested in German language and culture.
