Melbourne Hanfu Association aims to provide a platform for everyone to explore interests in Hanfu(traditional Han Chinese attire) while consolidating traditional Chinese Culture and garments.

We welcome people from all nations to share interests in Hanfu(traditional Han Chinese attire). Thus, everyone is given a chance to experience the charm of multicultural while learning traditional Chinese garments.

Hanfu is not only a type of apparel but also an essential component of the Chinese cultural identity and traditional aesthetic values. We would like to introduce Hanfu culture to the broader world while “wrapped up” in uniquely eye-catching costumes. We could like to work together and contribute to the country’s border vision to become a strong and prosperous multicultural nation where everyone benefits from increased diversity through the harmonious coexistence of different cultures!

Club Aims:

  1. To advance and enrich people’s knowledge in “Hanfu” which is Chinese traditional clothing, as well as how they evolve from dynasty to dynasty.
  2. To provide an opportunity and platform for people with the same interest in Hanfu, or another country’s traditional clothing, to discuss, debate and exchange ideas.
  3. To encourage open-mindedness among people from different nations and explore fashions in clothing.
  4. To promote and enhance interactions between students from different backgrounds.
  5. To allow everyone to discover a new self while exploring and investing in cultural diversity and this intercultural dialogue.
  6. To embrace multiculturalism.
