The UniMelb Game Makers' Club is open to everyone interested in making games regardless of experience! We host game-making competitions (game jams), meetups, social events, career events, workshops, and a discord server.

We are dedicated to the production and exhibition of student games, even if you're not a programmer. 

So, if you're interested in pursuing game dev as a career, learning it as a hobby, or just think making games is cool: join the UniMelb Game Makers' Club!

Aims:

  • To host game making competitions (game jams) for students to compete individually or in teams.
  • To professionally connect like-minded students who are interested in video game development.
  • To provide creative students with opportunities for portfolio projects, and opportunities to work in multidisciplinary teams.
  • To facilitate friendships between students with similar interests through semi-regular social events and social media.
  • To provide students interested in pursuing a career in game development with networking opportunities with studios in Melbourne.
  • To build and strengthen the video game development community and culture at the University of Melbourne.
