DARES is the Drone Aviation and Racing Engineering Society at the University of Melbourne. Our members will have the opportunity to build, design and fly drones of all different types and sizes.
We hope to allow anyone, regardless of major or degree to learn about drones and the broader aviation industry. We aim to facilitate this through various social, technical and professional events run throughout the academic year.

The aims of the club are:
To allow students from all disciplines to gain hands on experience building and operating remotely piloted vehicles.
To accommodate social and technical collaboration regarding remotely operated vehicles across various universities.
To allow for the safe research, development and operation of experimental remotely operated vehicles.
To enable students of all disciplines the opportunity to compete in social drone racing and engineering competitions.
