Pharmacology United with Biochemistry Students Graduate Group

PUBS (Pharmacology United with Biochemistry Students) is a not-for-profit students-run organisation at the University of Melbourne. PUBS represents the students' interests in the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology (DBP) within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences. We aim to promote social interaction and cohesion between students in the department and enhance their academic and professional lives during their course of study. The group is composed of Graduate Researchers, Honours/Masters research placement students, as well as visiting students to our department. PUBS is affiliated with the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology and the Graduate Student Association.

The aims of the club are:

  1. To promote interaction, welfare and cohesion between Honours and graduate students in the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
  2. To enrich the academic and professional life of Honours and graduate students in the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
  3. To provide academic support to fellow Honours and graduate students and thus foster communication of research ideas and collaborations amongst students and to members of the wider community.
  4. To support the academic endeavours of Honours and graduate students and to act as a representative group within the Department of Biochemistry and Pharmacology.
