Amnesty International University of Melbourne is of a global movement of over 10 million people campaigning to end human rights abuses and promote a world where everyone can enjoy the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. We are passionate about protecting human rights, to promote awareness for Amnesty International’s campaigns, to educate interested students about current global rights issues, to give students an open and safe environment to discuss human rights. We plan to engage in effective activism practices and education, host experts on human rights to present seminars, and hold events to engage the university community with discussions on human rights.
