The Melbourne Uni Cubing Club is a community for anyone interested in solving Rubik’s Cubes and other twisty puzzles, whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced speedsolver. We host casual meetups, practice sessions, competitions, and fun challenges to help members improve their solving skills and connect with others who share their passion for cubing. Our club is a great place to learn new solving techniques, share tips, and challenge yourself in a friendly and supportive environment. Club Aims:
To build a Rubiks cube community and bring Unimelb students together who possess a similar skill / hobby. To provide a safe space where Unimelb students can engage in their hobby together without fear of judgement from others.
To organise regular official / unofficial cubing competitions to enhance skills, challenge members, and establish Melbourne Uni as a hub for cubing excellence against other Universities and in the broader cubing community.
To support members in improving their cubing abilities by sharing solving methods, providing mentorship, hosting guest speakers, and exploring advanced techniques such as blindfolded solving and one-handed solving.
To introduce newcomers to the cubing community and make the hobby of Rubiks cube speedsolving welcoming to new enthusiasts by offering tutorials, beginner friendly competitions, and resources to get them started.
