Chemistry and Biology Society

This is a club that is currently seeking affiliation. If the club's affiliation is not finalised, any memberships purchased through the UMSU website will be refunded.

Welcome to the Chemistry and Biology Society (CABS)! We are a community united by a genuine passion for all things biological and chemical. From organic reaction mechanisms to the metabolic regulation, you can be sure to find enthusiastic company in CABS. CABS is a place for sharing knowledge, learning new things and meeting like-minded scientists for the love of the game. Here, you’ll find us hosting competitions, events, and seminars to help you discover opportunity and wonder.

Club Aims:

  • To socially and intellectually engage students interested in biological and chemical fields.          
  • To provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge about professions in chemistry and the life sciences. 
  • To support students throughout their biological and chemical studies.      
  • To promote the academic interest of biology and chemistry to all students at the university.
