Computing and Information Systems Students Association

CISSA represents the technology and IT student community at the University of Melbourne. We bridge the divide between university and industry by holding various social, industry and networking events.

The Computing and Information Systems Students Association provides a focal point for University of Melbourne students interested in computing by hosting events in conjunction with the IT industry, offering resources to assist students with their studies and promoting education about current and upcoming technologies and industry trends.

Club Aims:

  1. Provide a focal point for Melbourne University students interested in Computers to socialize.
  2. Give opportunities for career advancement to students by hosting events in conjunction with the IT industry.
  3. Promote current global and local technological trends in research and industry.
  4. Make a positive contribution to the general welfare of CIS students by enhancing communications between the CISSA, the students and the CIS department.
  5. Encourage and improve the learning, teaching and research of Computing and Information Systems within the university.
  6. Represent the interests of the Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, IT, Information Systems, Product and tech communities fairly.
