A message from the UMSU President - Joshua Stagg
Dear Students,
I hope you’ve been well and had a chance to enjoy the autumn leaves. We’re nearly at the finish line of semester one, just a little further to go!
Over the past few weeks, our Faculty and Representative Councilors have been wrapping up their projects and hosting final events before their terms end later this month. We’re grateful for their contributions over the past year and will be announcing the newly elected student leaders at our AGM on Thursday, 29 May, we’d love to see you there.
A big thank you to everyone who participated in GSA’s protest rule consultation, whether through the town hall, survey, or email. Your input means a lot. We’re now compiling the responses to present to the University as we continue advocating on your behalf.
If you’re a PhD student, don’t forget that applications for our PhD Peer Program are still open! It’s a great way to meet others and build connections within your faculty, especially if you’re feeling a little isolated or starting your research journey at a different time. We welcome both mentors and mentees.
