Barkly Theatre is thrilled to announce auditions are now open for William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, playing in the Union Theatre, September 19-21.

ROMEO AND JULIET

“For never was a story of more woe, Than this of Juliet and her Romeo”

The seminal story of star-crossed lovers. Torn apart by families divided, caught between duty and desire, and forced to irreconcilable action.

 

AUDITION DETAILS

BEFORE AUDITIONING: Please fill out the following Google Form. 
AUDITIONS: Please book a 15 minute audition slot through this Calendly link on 2nd June, 11am-2pm. If you are unable to make these times, please submit a self-tape to barklytheatre@gmail.com, or get in touch.
WHERE: The University of Melbourne, Student Pavilion (Building 162 - Room 205), 761 Swanston St, Parkville VIC 3052
WHAT TO PREPARE: Please prepare 1-2 of the excerpts at the bottom of the document. While you do not need to have this memorised, we may ask you to play around with the text, so please be familiar with the scene.
CALLBACK: If successful, details will be sent out regarding a group callback on 6th June. This will give us a chance to see how you work in person, and with other actors. Please note, some roles may not require a callback. All will hear back by the 7th June.
