"Look at me, look at moiye, look at moooiiye."
Having travelled to other worlds so far this semester, this week we're visiting somewhere much closer to home with an iconic Melbourne sitcom: Kath & Kim! Episodes 1-4 (~26 mins each).
When: 2:30 to 4:45 pm, this Thursday March 26
Where: Chisholm Theatrette, Babel Building level 3
With Free: Pizza, drinks and Australiana snacks 🍕🥤
Jane Turner and Gina Riley star as the titular duo of Kath Day-Knight, a cheery, middle-aged suburban mother, and Kim Craig, her narcissistic daughter. They negotiate life in the suburb of Fountain Lakes with a supporting cast including Kim's second-best friend, Sharon Strzelecki (Magda Szubanski), and their respective romantic interests, Kel (Glenn Robbins) and Brett (Peter Rowsthorn). Acclaimed for its humour (still funny as ever) and distinctly Australian personality, the series originated from sketches on the programs Big Girl's Blouse (1994) and Fast Forward (1989), and was a ratings hit.
