First Year & Actuaries Institute Information Session

13/03/2026–13/03/2026
5:00 PM–7:00 PM
The Spot 5008
Actuarial Students' Society

The Actuarial Student Society would like to invite all aspiring actuaries and those interested in the major to our annual first year information session. In the two part session we will cover important information about the Melbourne University undergraduate actuarial coursework, including on exemptions, subject requirements and tips to make sure you start your year off strong.

Then, the Actuaries Institute will present on the actuarial profession, their journey and bring an insight to what actuaries do in the workplace. After their presentation there is time for networking with other Actuaries Institute representatives.

The Actuaries Institute represents, educates, and connects a growing community of Australian actuaries within Australia and globally. They are the professional body for actuaries and administer the actuarial accreditations programs.

We would highly recommend any first year actuarial students to attend, to make sure they do not miss any important information.
