For week 9, we've something thought-provoking: a screening of the biopic Wittgenstein alongside Philosophy Society.

The philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein's life is told through a series of sketches spanning from boyhood to his later academic life. Navigating the philosopher's ideas of language and his queer identity via its theatrical style, Wittgenstein uniquely portrays its titular thinker in this small, creative production.
Wittgenstein's theatrical presentation situates its action in simplistic sets placed against a black void, creatively utilising its limited budget. The film's minimalist setting highlights its colourful characters and performances in an eccentric and humorous telling of Ludwig Wittgenstein's life story.
