Filmsoc has been given the incredible opportunity to host a preview test screening of 'How to Capture a Prime Minister', the new film from Gary Newman, one month before its world premiere.

This documentary from the director of 'State of the Union' (Filmsoc's favourite documentary about student politics) is about the removal of Gough Whitlam as Prime Minister and its aftermath. It will conclude with an informal live Q&A with Gary Newman himself. Come along to ask about the film and its journey!

Free pizza will be included as per usual.

About the film:
When a student protest erupts into violence, Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser seeks refuge in the bowels of a Monash University lecture theatre while his minders desperately hatch an escape plan.
How to Capture a Prime Minister is a documentary film about the fragility of democracy, the lifecycle of idealism, and the legacy of Australia’s most divisive Prime Minister.

More information about the film can be found here: https://www.howtocaptureapm.com/

We hope to see you there!
