Film Society
Welcome or welcome back to Film Society! For our weekly screenings this semester, we're kicking things off in style on Friday with filmmaker Amy Heckerling's American coming-of-age rom-com considered one of the best teen films of all time: Clueless! 👩
When: 3:30pm, Friday March 7
Where: Turner Theatre, Level 1, Biosciences 2 (Building 122)
Free: PIZZA and DRINKS before the film! 🍕🥤
Celebrating the 30th anniversary of its original release this year (but never out of fashion) and a loose adaptation of Jane Austen's 1815 novel Emma, Clueless follows the shallow, silk-stocking and socially successful Cher (Alicia Silverstone), who is at the top of her Beverly Hills high school's pecking order. Seeing herself as a matchmaker, Cher sets her mind on coaxing two teachers into dating each other.
After the movie, we'll also head to The Clyde Hotel right next to campus for drinks and discussion. 🍻
