After much deliberation (looking at the results of the poll), our final screening shall be 1975's Dog Day Afternoon!

Based on a true incident in 1972, Dog Day Afternoon follows a trio lead by Sonny Wortzik (Al Pacino) when their would-be quick bank robbery attempt escalates. Speedily evolving into a lengthy hostage opperation further complicated by the FBI, motives unwind and the media's presence again heightens the pressure.
Nominated for numerous awards, Dog Day Afternoon won the Academy Award for best screenplay, BAFTA for best editing, and Pacino took home the BAFTA for best actor, the film has been defined as a significant piece of cinema, preserved in the US National Film Registry in 2009, thus it is sure to be a great final screening for the year.
