Our biggest event of the year! 

Have a revolutionary idea for a short film? This is your best chance to pitch it in front of an eager audience and finally get a chance at making your film! It doesn't matter whether you've got a completed script or if you just have the smallest spark of an idea at your fingertips, anything is welcome! We have had winning pitches in the past that were born from ideas created on the spot during the event, as well as from pre-designed PowerPoint presentations. No matter where you are in the planning process, if you are itching to direct your film, this event is for you!

Winning pitches will get supported by us - we will loan out our filmmaking gear (and teach you how to use it) to help make your idea a reality.

"What if I don't have any ideas? What if my pitch doesn't get selected?" We hear you cry. Fear not! The pitch night is also many members' first experience of signing up to a film crew and then eventually going on to learn the many facets of filmmaking, including lighting, cinematography, sound and assistant direction. Did you listen to a pitch that really tickled your fascination? Pitch night offers you the opportunity to walk up to the presenter and express your interest in working with them. The aim, ultimately, is to have fun while gaining valuable on-set experience!
